Patricia Logan and Rain Carrington have co-authored a fabulous novella bringing together Phoenix and Wade , a married Dom and his Sub from the Master's Boys and Invitation Only series written by Patricia and Hunter and Ethan a married Dom and his Sub from the Honky Tonk trilogy written by Rain. Phoenix and Wade are managing the Invitation Only BDSM club in Westburg Texas and Hunter is the owner of the Honky Tonk BDSM club in New Mexico. Phoenix invites Hunter and Ethan to visit his club at a time when Hunter decides a vacation is necessary for Ethan who is having trouble studying to become a Veterinarian so they accept the invitation. When they get to the Texas club, Wade and Ethan become close friends and find out that Hunter and Phoenix were also close friends who met in New York City when they were becoming Doms who then jointly played with Subs and had sex with them. The two couples got along famously and had some very hot sessions together. Then Rafe, a Sub who had been one of the primary Subs to submit to the two Doms and have sex with them in New York arrived with his new Dom causing Wade and Ethan to become very jealous. To make matters worse, Rafe has every intention of renewing his activies with Phoenix and Hunter. The ensuing plot is both humorous and super hot. Even if you have not read these previous series, as I have, this story can be totally enjoyed as a stand alone. You do not want to miss this incredibly enjoyable story. My Queen of BDSM (Patricia Logan) whipped this....and her co-conspirator (Rain Carrington) collared it to perfection <see what I did there?>. What a writing team.....I LOVED it.
I'll be honest here, I admit that I had my concerns. Rain Carrington has a strong army of supporters, was she secretly plotting to take over the crown of my Queen? or could these two very formidable and masterful writers find harmony at the paddle bench and play nicely?
I'm pleased to report that these two very talented authors, found their mutual sync and wrote a not only compelling, but also enthralling storyline.
I loved how they joined their two writing world's together, reuniting us with our favourite characters and giving us new ones to fall in love with too.
It was dirty sex but also loving and gentle at the same time, showing us how "trust" is one of the greatest gifts you can give.
AND..........Vesper dropped in, sharing her wisdom as only she can.
I didn't really get the cover at first, thought it an odd choice until I read the book. NOW I get it.
Highly, highly recommended.
